This song is from the movie kalki.. balachander's movie.. an evergreen song... though this movie was nt a big hit.. characters in the movie n songs were talked off.. Especially this song.. sung by chinna kuyil chitra and anuradha sriram.. chitra brings an awesome feeling to the song.....deva has scored the music... In the movie, actress geetha performed so aptly for the song.. Lyrics s the highlight of the song..i wud say... one can close their eyes n listen to it how manyever no of times...

Ramya, its one of my fav songs too and sung with so much emotion from a great singer - Chithra. Infact few years after Kalki was released, when Chithra gave birth to her first child after a wait of 15 years, I couldn't stop wondering what would have gone thru' her mind when she sang this song back then.
Ravi, I never thought in tat way.. ya.. no wonder she has sung it with so much of emotion.. I met her and her daughter at their place thru our relative whos her neighbour.. such a sweetest n the most humble celebrity i hv ever met..
